Prayer Prompt February 22

SCRIPTURE

Scripture: Psalm 33:1-3

ing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous, it is fitting for the upright to praise Him. Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to Him on a ten-string lyre. Sing Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.

PRAYER

Creator, God, a life of faith should be marked by a joyful attitude, not one of negativity, pessimism, or anger. May I project a joyful attitude every day. Help me to speak joyfully and give words of praise to You and encouragement to other people. Thank You that You love me and other believers in spite of our shortfalls and sins against You and other people.

May we laugh at ourselves and do not take things so seriously. Please guide us through our walk here on Earth as we contemplate and prepare ourselves for eternity.

As we approach Easter may we stop, reflect on our blessings, and project faith and trust instead of worry and anxiety…Lord, guide me to show a positive outlook day in and day out.

In addition to giving up some things for Lent, may we be diligent to adding some things to our daily lives…schedule a specific time each day to read, study, meditate and pray. Look for opportunities to serve others and schedule that each week.

In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
