Prayer Prompt February 21

SCRIPTURE

Scripture: John 14:27

Peace, I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.

PRAYER

God of peace, our world feels fractured—by violence, by fear, by grief we can’t always name. We carry this brokenness not only in the news we read, but in our bodies, our relationships, and our prayers. In this season of Lent, we ask for the peace that only You can give—not a shallow calm, but a deep, steady presence that holds us when everything feels undone. Quiet our anxious hearts. Anchor us in your promises. Teach us how to live as people of peace in a suffering world, trusting that you are still at work, even when the pieces don’t seem to fit together. Amen.
