Inclement Weather Policy

Sunday Inclement Weather Policy: When weather conditions are adverse during the weekend, a decision will be made by 7:00 AM Sunday about implementing the Sunday Inclement Weather Policy. If implemented, there will be no Elder’s Breakfast, Sunday School classes or Children’s classes, and there will be only one morning worship service at 11:00 AM. Our sidewalks and parking lots will be treated for those who can make it to the church. A decision concerning the evening worship service will be announced during the 11:00 AM service. If the Sunday Inclement Weather Policy is implemented, an announcement will be posted on our website, social media accounts and sent out through Text in Church. Wednesday Inclement Weather Policy: There will be no Wednesday Night Activities when Atlanta Public Schools are closed, or when Atlanta Public Schools have cancelled afternoon/evening activities, due to inclement weather. If the Wednesday Inclement Weather Policy is implemented, an announcement will be posted on our website, social media accounts and sent through Text in Church. Weekday Inclement Weather Policy: When weather and/or road conditions are adverse during the week, some weekday activities or events may be canceled or postponed. Detailed announcements will be posted on our website and social media accounts, and sent through Text in Church. Generally, when Atlanta Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, our church offices will be closed. There may be some occasions when the church offices will be open when schools are closed. For the most up-to-date and detailed information, please check the church website. WE ENCOURAGE ALL CHURCH MEMBERS, GUESTS, AND STAFF TO OBSERVE ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS POSSIBLE, BY STAYING OFF THE ROADS DURING SNOWY, ICY OR ESPECIALLY STORMY WEATHER - UNLESS TRAVEL IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.
