What is respite care?
Respite is a short period of rest or relief from something that may be difficult. The Legacy Club provides respite for caregivers and their loved ones, who need support as they navigate challenging seasons of life.
As an act of love and service to our Atlanta community, Peachtree Christian Church is opening The Legacy Club: A Community Respite for adults. Although we will primarily serve individuals with dementia, we also welcome individuals experiencing other cognitive challenges including Parkinson's, stroke, and special needs. The Legacy Club at Peachtree provides caregivers with free time to attend to their own needs while providing their loved ones with joy, enrichment, dignity, and purpose!
Join Rev. Katie Bond and her wonderful volunteers for days packed full of fun, companionship and service.

Care for the caregiver
Caring for a family member or loved one is gratifying, but can also be challenging. We know caregivers want what's best for their loved ones, often at the expense of their own mental and physical health. The Legacy Club respite ministry provides the caregiver with the gift of free time.
Respite opens from 10 am-2 pm on Tuesday and Thursdays, giving you 4 hours for yourself.
Respite provides caregivers with support including resources and relationships with other caregivers. Caregivers enjoy peace of mind knowing their loved ones are being cared for in a safe and kind environment.
