Dear Peachtree Christian Family, After a year-long search, much prayer, and a great deal of listening, we are delighted to announce that Mr. Jeff Harbin will be joining our staff at the start of the new year as Choir Master, Organist, and Director of Music. Jeff brings with him decades of experience in choral direction and a keen expertise in organ design and performance. A native of the Atlanta area, Jeff grew up within the Stone-Campbell tradition and was a member of Peachtree Christian Church in the 1990s. His return to Peachtree marks a joyful homecoming, and we are eager for the gifts he will bring to our worship and music ministries. Over the past year, we have been deeply blessed by the faithful leadership of Mr. Roy Firestone, who has served as our Interim Choir Master and Organist. Roy has shared his many skills, steady leadership, and gracious spirit with us during this season of transition. We are profoundly grateful for his ministry and wish every blessing for him and his beautiful family as they enter their next chapter. May we continue to be partners in the gospel and friends in Christ’s service. We invite the entire congregation to join us in prayer—for Jeff and his family as they relocate to the metro area, and for Roy and his family as they step into what God has next for them. May this season of transition be filled with love, gratitude, and the harmony of God’s Spirit among us all. Grace and Peace, Rev. Jarrod Longbons Senior Minister Peachtree Christian Church

Sun | Nov 2 - Dec 7 | 10am | Zoom and Rm 213 For this six-week series, we will examine the development of some of the church’s foundational doctrines. We will explore pertinent Biblical passages along with important theological debates of the early church. You will need a modern translation of the Bible along with the study guide. Our study will also use the Kerygma study guide called, The Bible and Theology, Book One (Themes 1 and 2, Who is Jesus? Who is God?) As the names implies, it is the first in a series of study guides. Be sure to get Book One. It is available from the publisher: https://kerygma.com/products/bible-theology-one?_pos=2&_sid=daa86eece&_ss=r You may also want a copy of Turning Points in Theology by Donald McKim upon which our study guide is based (abbr. TPT). It is widely available on-line, including from Kerygma.
Please, order your own copy (or copies). If cost is prohibitive, contact me or Rev. Brooks Gignilliat. The church does offer scholarships. Contact, Mary-Elizabeth with questions about which study guide to buy. For each topic, we will spend the first week learning about the witness of the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, the second week about the witness of the New Testament, and the third week about the witness of the church through the ages, including that of some of history’s greatest theologians. November 2-11 The Trinity: Who is God? (TPT pp. 4-21) November 2 The witness of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament November 9 The witness of New Testament November 16 The witness of the church November 23- December 7 Christology: Who is Jesus Christ? (TPT pp. 22-43) November 23 The witness of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament November 30 The witness of New Testament December 7 The witness of the church
