Join us this week for guest speaker, Beau Howard!

Friends, It has been such a joy to share the pulpit recently with old friends and new voices like Jason Byassee. I’m excited to tell you about what’s ahead. On Sunday, September 21, we will be blessed to hear from Beau Howard, one of our elders. Beau and I have been praying, studying, and preparing together, and I believe God has placed a special message on his heart for our church. I’m also looking forward to sharing the pulpit with Rev. Danny Gulden on October 5 and Mr. Joe Gardner on October 26, as they bring messages inspired by the rich symbolism and beauty of our sanctuary. What a gift it will be to hear how God is speaking through so many voices in our community. And don’t forget—we are in the midst of pledging season! Our theme this year is Deep Roots / New Life. I invite you to prayerfully consider how you can share in this ministry for the year ahead. I look forward to following Jesus with you this fall. Join us as we seek the heart of Christ in the heart of the city, and as we continue to grow, build, and serve together. Gratefully, Jarrod

Oct 5 | During Worship Services | 9/15 9AM - 12PM Heritage & Consecration Sunday will be celebrated in style with bagpipers and drums, acknowledging our deep spiritual roots in Scotland. We will also bring our 2026 pledges to the altar as a church body. We will also enjoy a special message presented by Rev. Danny Gulden. A little bit about Rev. Gulden: Danny was ordained by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Georgia in 2008. Prior to entering the ministry, he was a successful sales executive with CareerBuilder.com. He has also served in multiple ministerial positions over his career, including Vice President of Client Relations for the Pension Fund and Senior Minister at Sandy Springs Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) just outside of Atlanta. He now serves as Lead Pastor for Geist Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a multi-campus congregation in Indianapolis, Indiana. He strongly believes the church at its best can change peoples’ lives, communities, and the world. Danny is a noted preacher and a seasoned keynoter and workshop leader. He has served the church on the Administrative Committee, the General Minister and President Search Committee, the Georgia Regional Minister Search Committee, the General Board, the Council on Christian Unity Board. He currently serves on the board for the National Benevolent Association and as a member of the Cornerstones Leadership Team for clergy wellness. He has taken part in 52 weeks of church camp and has been on 22 international mission trips. He is an alumnus of the Bethany Fellows. Danny is married to Mary Michael, who grew up at Peachtree Christian Church. Danny and Mary Michael were married in 2001 in the sanctuary at Peachtree. They have two daughters in high school. Bella is a senior and drum major for the Carmel High School Marching Greyhounds and Ava is a freshman and plays for the Carmel High School volleyball team. He cheers loudly for the University of Georgia Bulldogs and Arsenal. He holds the Master of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University and is currently pursuing the Doctor of Ministry degree at Lexington Theological Seminary.

Thurs | Sep 25 | 10 am | Library You’re warmly invited to the next CWF (Christian Women’s Fellowship) Book Club gathering on Thursday, September 25 at 10:00 AM in the Library at Peachtree Christian Church. We’ll be discussing The Yada Yada Prayer Group by Neta Jackson. About the book: The Yada Yada Prayer Group is a heartfelt novel about a diverse circle of women brought together after a women’s conference who learn to “know” (yada) God—and one another—through honest prayer, everyday struggles, and surprising friendships. It’s an uplifting story of grace, growth, and the power of praying together. Bring your book, your thoughts, and a friend! We look forward to seeing you there!
