Rev. Aaron Smith

Rev. Aaron Smith holds a B.A. from Indiana University Bloomington and is a graduate of the University of Chicago Divinity School and Disciples Divinity House. He was ordained in the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, in November 2015 while serving as Director of Evangelism at Light of the World Christian Church. He serves on the National Convocation Board, the Christian Church in Georgia Commission on Ministry, and as Co-President of the University of Chicago Disciples Divinity House Alumni Council. He also completed a Certificate in Public Management from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

He served with the Pension Fund for 12 years as an Area Director, serving eight regions and, most recently, as the Retirement Education Director. He enjoyed educating current and prospective members about retirement and savings benefits that will sustain them and their families. He now resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wonderful family, his wife Kiah and son Asher. He and Kiah married at First Christian Church in Decatur, GA. His family most recently belonged to Ray of Hope Christian Church for six years where he also served as a worship leader.
