SCRIPTURE

John 20:30–31 (NRSVUE)

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book. But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in his name.

REFLECTION

The Gospel of John closes with this purpose statement: that we may believe and have life in Christ. Faith is not merely intellectual agreement—it is living trust in the risen One who offers eternal life. As we stand on the threshold of Easter, let your heart prepare to receive that life afresh. How is the Holy Spirit speaking to you through this Scripture?

PRAYER

God of life, thank You for the gift of Scripture that reveals Your heart and mission. Deepen my belief in Jesus, the Messiah, and fill me with the life that only He can give. Ready my spirit for the joy of resurrection morning. Amen.
