Prayer Prompt March 12
SCRIPTURE
Psalm 90:12
Teach us to number our days aright that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Matt 16:24 - If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
Heb 5:7 - During the days of Jesus’ life on Earth, He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His “reverent submission.”
PRAYER
Dear Lord: I praise You as Creator and Redeemer. I am self-indulgent and self-centered; and set no limits. Please help me grasp self-sacrifice and unconditional love. I am driven by my monsters…my job, my schedule, my possessions and my greed…they control my life. Please teach me to manage life’s priorities and set time and place priorities of the real values that should govern my life. I pray You will grant me a passion for helping others and dedication to manage my time better to include more empathy, concern and help for others; and to live my life as an example and witness to others. As we approach the foot of the cross, may I be willing to relinquish sin, my outlook and my way of looking at things; to be more intentional in prioritizing my time with You. May I get rid of pretenses and totally surrender to You with no conditions. May I seek to do Your will, day in and day out. May I acknowledge to You that the big things in life, and small alike, are in Your hands and under Your control. In the name of Christ, our Savior, Amen.
