Prayer Prompt March 19

SCRIPTURE

Romans 3: 24-25 “…and are justified freely by His Grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” “God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement through His blood”

Psalm 130: 3 “If You, Oh Lord, kept a record of sins, Oh Lord, who could stand” …”but with You there is forgiveness…”

Eph 2: 8 and 9 “For it by Grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God”…“not by works so that no one can boast.”

PRAYER

Lord and Savior, thank You for this day and for the Lenten Season as we are “Looking toward the Cross.” May I have forgiveness in my heart for other people and realize that I can’t extend forgiveness to others unless I am forgiven; and may I accept your forgiveness and mercy for myself; and own up to my faults and weaknesses. Teach me how to forgive others no matter how they have hurt me. May I make space in my life to be more compassionate and loving toward others, and may we, as a church, and as individuals, work hard to live what we profess.
