Peachtree Christian Church to Host Annual Palm Sunday Service and 'Entry into Jerusalem' Parade

Celebrate the Meaning and History of Easter in Midtown Atlanta with Family-Friendly Activities, Donkey, Petting Zoo, and a Mediterranean Marketplace

Atlanta, GA – Sunday, March 29, 2026 – Peachtree Christian Church, a landmark of faith in Midtown Atlanta, will host its annual Palm Sunday Service and "Entry into Jerusalem" Parade on March 29, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM. This year's event continues a cherished tradition that brings the Easter story to life for the entire Midtown community.

The Palm Sunday service will take place in the church's National Historic Register sanctuary, where a powerful biblical re-enactment of the teachings of Jesus will unfold. At the conclusion of the worship service, Jesus and His twelve disciples — dressed in period clothing and accompanied by a donkey — will lead the congregation in a dramatic procession. As they march down Spring Street, adults and children alike will wave palm fronds and shout "Hosanna," immersing the community in the spirit and significance of this sacred day.

The processional parade into "Jerusalem" will culminate in a vibrant, interactive Marketplace offering fun for all ages. Attendees will enjoy authentic food, live performances, and unique crafts from local artisans, including a potter, a cloth spinner, and a working carpenter. Children will delight in a petting zoo featuring friendly sheep and goats. These special activities promise a fun and meaningful way for families to come together and celebrate the Easter season in a festive, faith-filled environment.

"We are excited to welcome people to our Palm Sunday service and parade," said Rev. Dr. Jarrod Longbons, Senior Pastor of Peachtree Christian Church. "This event is a wonderful way to engage with the rich history of the Easter season while sharing the joy and hope that Palm Sunday represents. The service, 'Entry into Jerusalem' Parade, and Marketplace are free and open to the public, and I encourage everyone to bring their friends and families to this inspiring event."
