Alzheimer’s disease impacts millions of individuals and families—but knowledge, early action, and community support can make a powerful difference. The Atlanta Neuroscience Institute, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association – Atlanta Chapter, invites you to a four-part lecture series designed to educate, empower, and guide individuals, caregivers, and families through every stage of the Alzheimer’s journey. This monthly series brings together leading medical experts, trained educators, and trusted resources to explore the science of Alzheimer’s disease, strategies for reducing risk, tools for caregivers, and essential legal and financial planning considerations—while offering hope through innovation and ongoing research. All sessions are free and offer dinner, but please do register so we can plan for seating and the meals. We are thinking a lot about liberty this summer here in America.

This year marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the American Declaration of Independence.  Georgia’s own Button Gwinnett was the first representative to sign the document.  In that founding document for our nation, the members of the Continental Congress laid out their vision of liberty for all, flawed though that vision might have been.  They lay out their grievances to King George III.  Most profoundly, they pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to achieve that liberty.

Unlike King George, who finally had to acquiesce to American demands after years of costly warfare, our Divine Ruler, the Son of God himself authors and defends Christian liberty.  We need not demand it; we receive it as a free gift from God in Christ.

But what is "Christian liberty" and why should we cherish it?  Free from what?  Free to do what?  Is Christian freedom free?  What did it cost Jesus?  How do we live into the gift of freedom?  What might we do that puts our freedom in Christ at risk?

In his letter to the church at Galatia, the apostle Paul addresses those same questions.  The congregation there understands and cherishes Christian liberty so little that Paul fears they will soon lapse back into spiritual slavery and not even know it.  Paul narrates how Christ has freed him and empowered him to successfully oppose the forces of spiritual slavery.  He goes on to illustrate how we, too, receive an inheritance of freedom from God as did our spiritual forbearers.  His case to the Galatians is so compelling that scholars call it "The Magna Carta of Christian Liberty."

Calling all performers ages 5–15: it’s time to take your places! Get ready for a week of theatrical magic at Peachtree Christian Church’s Spotlight Drama Camp, where every child is the star of the show.

Our ensemble will dive into action-packed scripts featuring:

• Solo spotlights: Mastering the art of the monologue.

• Ensemble Energy: Group numbers and harmonies where every voice matters.

• The Actor’s Toolkit: Essential workshops in stagecraft and character development.

The Daily Call: Campers should bring their own "green room" lunch to fuel up between acts; Peachtree will provide the snacks! For a true double-feature, enroll your performer in Vacation Bible School (9:30 AM – 12:30 PM) before they head backstage for Drama Camp until 4:00pm. 

The Grand Finale: The curtain rises on Friday at 3:30 PM! Join us for a special showcase where our cast takes their final bow and dazzles the audience with their newfound talents.

Peter emerges as one of the New Testament’s most challenging, endearing, and inspiring figures.  Often the spokesman for the rest of the disciples, Peter frequently blurted first and thought later.  He made bold promises only to fall short quickly.  Yet, his Spirit-filled courage helped him lead and grow the church as Jesus’ followers began to work out what it means to serve His kingdom even as we wait faithfully for His return.

Join us as we follow Peter on his quest to follow Jesus.

There is no required textbook, except a modern translation of the Bible.  If you need a Bible, please speak to me or to Rev. Brooks Gignilliat.  The church will happily provide you with one.

Each year, Peachtree honors the legacy of Dr. Fred Craddock—one of the most influential preachers and teachers of his generation—by welcoming a distinguished guest to our pulpit and our classroom. Our guest preaches in Sunday worship, then returns Monday morning to lead two lectures for all who'd like to dig deeper into the craft and calling of preaching.

Fellowship is the perfect name for this class, where members gather in a warm, welcoming space to learn, connect, and share in the abundant grace and blessings of God. It’s a place where relationships are built, both through the class and throughout church-wide activities, offering countless opportunities to grow together in faith. 

The class focuses on helping older adults deepen their understanding of the Bible, its relevance and importance to living our Christian faith. Our lessons explore essential themes like faith, joy, love, forgiveness, and the essence of living as a community of believers. Each Sunday, a rotating team of teachers brings new perspectives, blending historical insights with contemporary reflections, sparking thought-provoking discussions and moments of shared growth. 

Come be a part of this vibrant group of prime-time adults as we continue to grow our understanding of Jesus' teachings and what it truly means to live as a community of believers.

Scripture uses thirst as a picture of our deep need for God, His presence, His truth, and His salvation. In this 5-week study, we will look at Biblical word pictures for thirst and consider how they can help us drink more deeply from God.

Women of all ages are welcome to join us as we study God's word together and support each other through prayer and fellowship.

Our Youth Sunday School class for middle and high school students (6th-12th grade) is designed to help teens connect with Scripture in a real and meaningful way.

In this 45-minute session, we'll explore how God’s Word speaks directly to the challenges and decisions teens face every day—whether it's friendships, identity, faith, or purpose.

Through engaging teaching and thoughtful discussion, students will not only dive deeper into understanding the character of God, but also strengthen their theology and build a foundation for navigating life with faith and wisdom.

This class is a place to learn, ask questions, and grow together in a supportive, vibrant community.

The Legacy Club. There are more than 43 million unpaid caregivers in the US who care for a child or adult family member. The Legacy Club provides respite (a break) for caregivers and their loved ones who are experiencing cognitive decline resulting from loneliness, isolation, stroke, and dementia.

June Partner: Forever Family

Ten million children in the United States have experienced a parent being incarcerated at some point. Nearly two and a half million American kids have a mother or father in prison right now. Those who have witnessed the arrest of their parent must often deal with the effects of this traumatic event for years. All giving designated towards outreach during the month of June will go towards our support of Forever Family and its mission, to surround children with the love of Christ.

Foreverfamily is collecting school supplies from June 1st – July 18th to help local children start the year ready to learn!
