Treasure in Clay Jars:  Second Corinthians

Sundays | 10 am | June 30 – August 25

Paul’s stormy relationship with the congregation in Corinth taught him and them how flawed we remain, even as believers.  Still, Paul says that in God’s mercy, God entrusts us with the treasure of the Gospel, so that we can witness and minister to people just as flawed as we are.  Come read Paul as he inspires us to be of good courage, even when we face disappointment and sleepless nights.

A Summer in Psalms: Psalms of Deliverance

Sunday, August 25   |   5 pm   |   Chapel

This Summer, in lieu of our regular weekly Evensong schedule, Peachtree will gather on the last Sunday of each month at 5 pm for a special Evensong service centered on the Psalms as our primary source for prayer and worship, as well as a comprehensive and sacred expression of the human experience. Each of the three services will focus on a different dynamic within the Psalms, identified by Old Testament scholar Walter Brueggemann as “orientation,” “disorientation,” and “reorientation.” This month we will explore psalms of deliverance and praise, with guest speaker Ryan Bonfiglio from Emory University.
