Believe it or not, school starts soon, but there are many children in our community who do not have the supplies they need. The Christian Women’s Fellowship invites you to help by donating school supplies on Back-to-School Sunday. Donations will benefit Forever Family, a group supporting children with incarcerated parents, and other local organizations. Many retailers currently have Back-to-School sales, so it’s a great time to help Metro Atlanta children to be ready for school.

Join family and friends for a Peachtree Christian Potluck!
We are asking everyone to bring their specialty! Bring enough of your item to serve at least 10 – 12 people.
Baked chicken and beverages will be provided by Fellowship Ministry.
Drop your item off in the Burns Hall kitchen. Please use a disposable platter/container or clearly label your item and be prepared to take it home immediately following the meal. Serving utensils will be provided. “Ready to serve” dishes are preferred, but please attach written instructions if any mixing/reheating is needed.
Join Rev. Nick Chambers as he explores the history of Christianity to recover and renew questions and insights at the neglected yet rich intersection of theology and spirituality. This class will help you answer questions such as “What is the end goal of Christian life, and how to we pursue it in practice?” and “What does it actually look like to be ‘transformed’ and to ‘work out our salvation?’”
Understanding Revelation can be difficult—but it doesn’t have to be! Beginning September 13, Rev. Jared Wortman will be teaching a 13-week class working through the entire book of Revelation. The goal of the class is to help participants understand the historical and social contexts of the book while also being mindful of responsible applications in today’s world.
11 am Worship Service
Dr. Willimon will present the sermon.
Lunch and Learn
The congregation is invited to a lunch in Burns Hall where Dr. Willimon will trace the unique challenges and possibilities of being an historic church in today’s urban context. There is no cost for the lunch and childcare and activities will be provided for children under 12 years old.
We need your help! On September 24, the Outreach Ministry will be sponsoring a $1,500 shopping trip to purchase essential food pantry items for the Midtown Assistance Center (MAC). We need volunteers that can lift heavy items and who have trucks or SUVs to deliver. Please join us as we shop together, make the delivery, and receive a guided tour of the MAC facility. We will leave from the Peachtree Christian Church parking lot at 12:30 pm, and will return to Peachtree around 3 pm.
Join us on this journey to explore an ancient faith in one of Atlanta’s most beautiful cathedrals.
