Worship Service: 11 am | Parade: noon | Mediterranean Meal: 12:30 pm
Our Palm Sunday celebration begins at the 11 am service. Members of Peachtree, in full costume, will portray the roles of Jesus and the Disciples. At the conclusion of the service, children and adults will line up on both sides of Spring Street shouting “Hosanna” and waving palm branches as Jesus, the disciples and a live donkey process down the street. This colorful celebration is a beloved Peachtree tradition. Following the parade, join us for a Mediterranean lunch.
Dinner: 6 pm | Lecture: 7 pm
Join us for a talk by the Temple’s Rabbi Peter Berg on Passover. Rabbi Berg is the senior Rabbi at the historic Temple across the street from Peachtree Christian. He is a prominent leader in Atlanta’s Jewish community, a wonderful communicator, and seeks to foster the historic friendship that Peachtree Christian has shared with the Temple’s community over many decades.
A dinner will be offered at 6 pm in Stew Wood Hall: $7 for adults, and $4 for children. Reservations are required for and must be received by April 7.
Dinner: 6 pm | Worship Service: 7 pm
Enjoy a light dinner in Burns Hall followed by worship in the Sanctuary. This meaningful service, centered around the Lord’s Supper, includes prayer, music and Scripture readings.
Stations of the Cross: 11 am | Worship Service: noon
This somber and meditative service focuses on the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. At the close of this moving service the cross is veiled in black, the Sanctuary is darkened, and worshippers exit in reflective silence as we await the celebration of the resurrection.
Don’t miss this opportunity to share in the blessing of praying for the requests of your faith community. Once you take part in this very moving opportunity, you will always look forward to these vigils. Our goal is for everyone who is part of this church to pray in the chapel for 30 minutes during the vigil.
Worship Services: 9 and 11 am | Children’s Activities: all morning
Celebrate the most significant day in the Christian year in the beauty of our Sanctuary. The service begins with the Sanctuary dark and the cross still veiled from Good Friday, but the mood quickly changes with the proclamation “He is Risen!”. With trumpets and banners and Holy hymns of praise, the truth of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is once again realized at Peachtree Christian Church during this magnificent celebration.
All children are invited to come to Stew Wood Hall between 9 am and noon to participate in fun activities, including photos with baby chicks, crafts and snacks.
Come share in a Christian Women’s Fellowship tradition as we celebrate the wonderful women and girls in your life at our annual spring gathering focused on women. Bring your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your friends! We’ll enjoy fellowship, good food, and an inspirational program by Ms. Lee St. John. Music will be provided by Mr. Daniel Solberg and Octave.
Childcare is available with advance registration. Ticket sales Sundays March 19–April 2. Tickets will not be sold the day of the event.
Please make special plans to join us for this special service. The 11 am worship service will include the Commission to Ministry for hard working staff members, Dee Stone and Katie Bond. Following the service there will be a churchwide reception in Stew Wood Hall.
Join your church family for movie night! Enjoy pizza, soda, popcorn and candy while watching Hook. No charge for children under 3. Hook is the retelling of the classic Peter Pan story and please be aware the movie is rated PG.
